To deter potential climbers from unauthorized entry, New York State & BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administrators) Pool Codes specify: A minimum pool fence height of 48in. A minimum space between the fence lower-most top rail and the bottom rail of 45in. A maximum spacing between fence horizontal or vertical bars of 4in. Self-closing & self-latching fence gates, with a latch at least 54in high, that open outward from the pool. In order to fit the pool codes, City Fence offers 4 Modified aluminum pool fence designs:

Curing Ornamental Aluminum Fence Post Footers

The Fence Post Footer is a critical component of the fence system that must be correctly designed and installed in order to securely anchor your fence posts to the ground. Since Aluminum Fences in Western New York will be subjected to freeze-thaw cycles during the winter, City Fence has designed a proprietary high strength concrete footer mix that has proven to be durable over decades in local fence installations. When installing your Aluminum Fence, we will first excavate holes that extend 36 inches deep down into the ground, below the winter frost line. We will then wet mix and pour concrete footers into the holes, installing each fence post within a footer. Since Aluminum Fence installation does not subject the footers to any significant load we will then connect in your aluminum fence panels, taking care to avoid stressing or fracturing the uncured concrete footers. Important Note: Industry best practice requires that we then allow the concrete footers to cure for approximately 7 days before subjecting them to any significant loads.

Do Not Subject Your New Fence To Any Significant Stresses Or Loads For At Least 1 Week After Installation!

During this period, it is important that you take steps to protect your fence, for example; by making sure that children or pets do not place stress on it during the first week. By taking the extra effort and time to design and install your fence post footers and cure them correctly we are able to guarantee your fence installation for 5 years, and we expect your footers to last for decades.
